What is Privacy Policy?

The Privacy Policy is a statement that explains the manner in which the business collects, uses, handles, maintains and processes personal information.  The policy also discloses why and where the information was collected and whether the information is kept confidential or shared with others, such as a third party.  The Privacy Policy applies but not limits to our website, products and services, various platform’s of software used for data collection that may be offered by Yeramba Estates in accordance with the Privacy Act 2012.

Yeramba Estates is committed to protecting your privacy, however any links to other websites or applications, then the Privacy Policy does not apply.

Any user to Yeramba’s Estate website or other applications which are a source of gathering information, does so acknowledging and gives consent that information may-be collected, may be used, and that the method of disclosure is described in this Privacy Policy.

Type of Information and How it is Collected

Information may be collected through automatic tracking systems (such as information on browsing preferences).  In addition, a user may volunteer to provide personal information during a sign up ie: by filling in a contact form, enquiry form or sub-scripting for newsletter’s and updates.  During this process personal information is gathered by disclosing specific details.

Personal Information

Is collected in various ways, including but limited to visiting our website, and registering for updates, newsletters, completing auto fill forms and other activities.  Personal information such as name, email, contact number’s, mailing address is collected in this process.  Users can always refuse to supply personal identifiable information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in relating activities.

Such information is more specifically collected, however not limited to:

  • when making a purchase
  • receiving emails and notifications
  • text messages
  • sales agents, conveyancers, brokers etc
  • commenting on social media, photographs & videos

In addition, in some cases users/clients are required to provide further information, and specific information to proceed with a purchase or sale.  For example, credit card/bank details, copy of identification (photo license), postal address.

Non-Personal Identifiable Information

Whenever users interact with our website, non-personal identification information may be collected which includes browser name, type of computer/devices and technical information about our users such as operating systems and internet service providers.

How your Information is Stored and How we Protect the Information Collected

Note, no systems involving the transmission of information via the internet, or electronic storage of data is completely secure.  

Yeramba Estates, takes the protection and storage of Personal Information seriously, adopting appropriate storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthroised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of personal information stored in our systems.

Sensitive and private data exchanges between sites and its users, which happens over a SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures.

Third Parties

Personal Information from time to time may be exchanged to a Third Parties Service Provider so that they can help us improve our services or assist us with information storage or security.  Third Parties Service Providers also may help us find out where page requests come from, dates and times and details of any referred links to sites and services, partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors or licensors and other details about the usage of our website.

A Third Party may also be used to host our website and other software which gathers information for our business.  If this occurs, then that Third Party Service Provider is likely to have access to some of our user/client’s Personal Information.

We may also allow a Third Party Service Provider to advertise on our website.  A Third Party Providers may use cookies in connection with the usage. (Cookies are small files stored in your computer or device which collects information about your browsing behavior).

A Third Party Provider may have their own Privacy Policies and Customer Service Policies, which we do not control and are not responsible for their practices, usage, content to links, sites, services, browser or their interaction with other websites.

Note, a Third Party Providers may be located outside Australia and may not be subject to Australian Privacy Laws.

Yeramba Estates, will only share information to a Third Party Service Provider, if the provider agrees to our privacy standards as set out in this Privacy Policy.  

Yeramba Estates, may provide information to a Third Party in order to protect the rights of it’s staff, customers or third parties, or as required by law.  Should information be provided to a Third Party, other than outlined in this Privacy Policy, then users, customers and employees will be advised.  No personal information will be shared, knowingly with any third party other than in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

How Your Information is Used

Yeramba Estates uses the information collected to help improve and provide a customer service.  The information used is to notify our customers of marketing and advertising, both direct and indirect of products (property & land releases), that may be of interest to you by the information which has been collected of your preferences or demographics, and the specific categories which has been disclosed with accordance of this Privacy Policy. The information collected, will be used to advise our users and customers of updates of coming events and releases.  

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Yeramba Estates has the discretion to update this Privacy Policy at any time.  Users/ customers will be notified by a post on our main page or email.  

Our users acknowledge and agree that it is their responsibility to review and be aware of any changes to this Privacy Policy and to remain informed of any changes.

Upon any changes to the Privacy Policy, users may wish to following instructions or opt out of future correspondence.  This may be done by contacting us in writing and advise your wishes to opt out.  We will make all responsible efforts to promptly comply with this request, however subsequent correspondence may still be received, during the request being handled.
